Wedding Cake Consultation

Our ethos at The Fox & The Flour is to create unique and natural Wedding Cakes. We use primarily Swiss meringue buttercream, seasonal fresh flowers accompanied by seasonal fresh fruits, macaroons and gold leaf. We make it a priority to source local and free-range ingredients.

A deposit of €150 is required to secure your wedding date. Once you have reserved your wedding date with us, we will contact you within 3-5 working days to book your consultation at one of our two locations. The remaining balance will be due 28 days prior to your wedding.

Your consultation will include a complimentary cake tasting and the opportunity to finalise your cake design with our Executive Head Baker, Julie O’Flaherty. Once your wedding date is reserved, we will be in touch within three to five working days about your consultation. 

*A 50% refund will be given after your consultation if you decide not to proceed with us*

Please note, we require a minimum of 30 days notice for wedding cake bookings.

Starting prices below are inclusive of seasonal fresh flowers.

Additional extras such as gold leaf, macaroons and extra flowers will come at an additional cost which can be discussed in your consultation.

We currently service all counties within Leinster plus Tipperary, Waterford and Cavan. We can make some exceptions on request. If your venue is not listed in these regions please contact us directly for a quote.

CREATIVE PREROGATIVE
Our new website has been specifically designed to streamline our ordering system, in turn, providing our customers with an easy and efficient service. Each Wedding creation is custom made in The Fox and The Flour Cakery, Cashel, Co. Tipperary. All wedding cakes are made by our Executive Head Baker Julie O’Flaherty. We pride ourselves on our unique style and quality of cakes. Every item that leaves our kitchen is hand made with love and precision meaning each cake is unique. The Fox and The Flour cannot guarantee 100% accuracy in the matching of colours and designs.

Consultations

When we contact you to schedule your consultation, you will have the option to choose which location best suits you. Please see both our consultation locations below:

- The Fat Fox, 1 Trafalgar Road, Greystones, Co.Wicklow.

- The Fox & The Flour Cakery, 5 Main Street, Cashel, Co.Tipperary.

We encourage you to bring any inspiration images and references for our Executive Head Beaker, Julie O’Flaherty as a guiding point to your wedding style. This may include things such as a pinterest board, your wedding invitations, colour schemes, photos of your bouquet etc.

Refunds & Cancellations

Our cakes are made to order with fresh, perishable ingredients. Once a cake leaves the care of our baking team we do not accept responsibility for damages caused during transportation and/or storage. If, for some reason, you are unhappy with your order- contact our office team at hello@thefoxandtheflour.com. 

The €150 booking deposit required to reserve your date is non refundable. In the unlikely event that you do not decide to proceed with your booking, a 50% refund will be issued to you. 

We require 28 days notice for any cancellations at which point your booking deposit will be non-refundable.

Cake Flavours

1. Vanilla sponge cake filled with a vanilla bean buttercream.

2. Caramelised white chocolate cake filled with a white chocolate ganache and a sesame seed brittle crumb.

3. Orange & raspberry cake filled with an orange infused buttercream and a raspberry jam.

4. Gin & lime cake filled with a gin infused buttercream and a lime curd.

5. Lemon drizzle cake filled with a lemon zest buttercream and a lemon curd.

6. Decadent triple chocolate fudge cake filled with a dark chocolate ganache.

7. Carrot and coconut cake filled with a citrus infused cream cheese icing.

8. Coffee and walnut cake filled with an espresso infused buttercream.

9. Hazelnut and chocolate cake filled with a hazelnut praline buttercream.

10. Honey cake filled with a vanilla bean buttercream and crunchy honeycomb.

Sweet Treats

Cupcakes

Our cupcakes are designed with our signature The Fox & The Flour finish including fresh seasonal flowers, gold leaf and macaroons. We have a selection of wonderful flavors, including Chocolate & Praline, Sprinkle, Torched Lemon Merengue, Carrot & Coconut, S’mores, Vegan Chocolate, Vanilla Bean or Raspberry & Orange. €3.00 each.

Cookie Stacks

Our famous cookie stacks were created by our very own Julie in 2016. Since then, they have been a popular staple on our counters. So much so, they have made their way into our wedding offerings. Our cookie stacks are made up of three layers of milk chocolate chip cookies filled with our signature Swiss merengue buttercream. Choose between Irish Cream or Sprinkle. €5.50 each.

Marshmallows

Our marshmallows are handmade with love by our talented baking team. We currently offer vanilla bean or marbled raspberry marshmallows.  €1.50 each.

Macaroons

Hand made by our team of talented bakers. We offer a wide variety of flavours and colours. €2 each.

Cake Pops

These can be designed to your specific taste. Cake Pops are available in multiple flavours and colours. €3.50 each.
